La guida nell'app (Impostazioni → Guida all'uso) mostra tutti i passi.

Dice «Non raggiungibile»

AfarLink funziona senza Tailscale?

macOS 14 Sonoma e successivi.

How do I reach my Mac from outside my home?

Install Tailscale on both Macs and sign in with the same account. Each Mac gets an address starting with 100: use it in AfarLink. It also works behind routers that block incoming connections (CGNAT). The in-app guide (Settings → Setup guide) shows every step.

It says “Not reachable”

The Mac is off or asleep, or Tailscale (or your VPN) isn't connected on one of the Macs. In System Settings → Battery, turn on “Wake for network access” on the Mac you want to reach.

It's online but Screen, SSH or Files won't open

On the Mac you want to reach, turn on Screen Sharing, Remote Login and File Sharing in System Settings → General → Sharing. In AfarLink, “Test connection” shows which service answers.

What address should I use?

The Tailscale address (100.x.y.z or the machine name), or a local name like mini.local if you're on the same network. You can paste a full URL too: AfarLink strips the scheme and slashes.

Does AfarLink work without Tailscale?

Yes, with any address you can already reach: the same Wi-Fi, another VPN or a company network. Tailscale is just the easiest way to link home and office.

Does AfarLink store my passwords?

No. It never asks for or stores them: if one is needed, macOS asks when you connect (you can save it in macOS Keychain).

macOS asks for access to the local network

Allow it: AfarLink needs it only to check whether your Macs answer. If you denied it, turn it back on in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Local Network; without it, every Mac on your network shows as “Not reachable”.

Which macOS versions are supported?

macOS 14 Sonoma and later.
